Home-schooled students have the foundation for 'bee'
success
Parental interest and involvement are key factors in homeschooling success. While it is
important that the child is able to encounter difficulties and solve them on his own, the motivation of an
interested parent should not be underestimated.
Consider this
article by a successful homeschooling Dad. His family uses the Robinson Curriculum (which many people use in conjunction with Ray's Arithmetic, an excellent combination), a curriculum which stresses
self teaching by the student. But because he took a particular interest in his children's education, they were
able to achieve a great deal in their chosen area of interest, spelling bee's.
